About this piece:
Alfred Caldwell designed this masterpiece of prairie style landscape architecture in the late 1930's. Over the years the Lily Pool became degraded due to a general lack of proper maintenance. Fortunately through the efforts of the Chicago Park District and The Lincoln Park Conservancy along with input from several focus groups it has been brought back to its original splendor as portrayed in this painting.
